The following table contains
electrical enclosure ratings for non-hazardous environments.
These classifications, issued by UL Laboratories, NEMA and
CSA should prove helpful in evaluating applications.
One noteworthy item is that
all of the NEMA 4 magnetic reversing starters currently
offered in the 1991 MHD55006 price list are supplied
with stainless steel enclosures. This upgrades their
rating to a NEMA 4X, whenever stainless steel enclosures
meet the corrosion resistant requirements.
Many thanks to our electrical
engineer, Bill Anthis for supplying this information.
